Sustainability, LEED & the Krystol line

Written by Sarah Coull | Aug 23, 2013 4:19:01 PM

We are proud to launch a new “Sustainability & LEED” section to our website this week, highlighting the green aspects that have always defined our Krystol line of products.

Sustainable building practices are  important to sustaining our planet, and our new section focuses on how Kryton’s Krystol line of concrete waterproofing products fits into the equation. Saving time, reducing waste with pulpable bags, and being a truly permanent concrete waterproofing solution, are only a few of the ways that Krystol products contribute to more durable, sustainable infrastructure.

Pulling together all the sustainable initiatives are the LEED Standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). LEED brings together a comprehensive suite of rating systems, which work together to ensure a concise framework for design, construction, and operation of structures which aim to be high performance, green buildings.

The newest version of the LEED rating system (LEED v4), has recently been approved through a vote by green building leaders representing 46 countries and territories around the world. LEED v4 aims to provide higher standards, as well as providing a new suite of time-saving support tools.

This new version will be launched at Greenbuild in November of 2013.

In the mean-time, have a browse through Kryton’s newest section, and see how Krystol products can contribute to sustainable construction.
