A couple of long concrete pours were done in Singapore over the past couple of months.
The Marina One Singapore development will be an iconic integrated development at Marin Bay Singapore. This landmark at the heart of Singapore’s new Central Business District in Marina South features a gross floor area of 3.67 million square feet.
As the project is being built with sustainability in mind, M+S Developers are using Kryton’s Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) to waterproof the concrete in the below grade areas of the development.
A month ago, a 2-day continuous concrete pour of 2,000 m3 of KIM treated concrete was completed, with another 3-day pour of 2, 600 m3 of KIM treated concrete finished in March. In total, the Marina One Singapore project will use over 30, 000 m3 of KIM treated concrete to ensure sustainability standards are met and the skyline of Singapore will have Marina One dotting the skies for decades to come.
This project will truly be the epicenter of Singapore’s new Central Business District in Marina South. The development has already been given the national awards for Best High Rise Architecture, Best Mixed-Use Architecture and Best Mixed-Use Development. Marina One will join the Marina Bay Sands and other developments in the ever changing skyline in Singapore.
The development also received recognition for its sustainable and environmentally friendly design:
The entire project is expected to be completed by 2017.
