We had a great time at the Ocean Construction Supplies Open House this past weekend. One of Ocean’s plants is uniquely located at Vancouver’s famed Granville Island and every spring Ocean opens its doors to the public for their annual open house. There is a chance for little ones to honk the horn of a ready-mix truck, tour the plant, play in the interactive displays and much more.

Kryton has worked closely with Ocean on several projects and we were again invited to put on a display at this year’s event. There was a little rain around lunch time but it didn’t slow the crowds, Ocean estimates over 6000 people attended.

At the Kryton booth we were handing out construction hats, although we brought double the amount of hats from last year, we still ran out in about 90 minutes of opening! Many of the children who visited us last year remembered our booth and hats and made a bee-line for straight for us. The Kryton booth was busy all day!

It was a great time and we are looking forward to next year.
