Kryton has always prided ourselves on giving back to the community in a number of different ways. From inner office campaigns to larger causes, Krytonites are always jumping in to lend a hand for the greater community.
A team of 13 Kryton India employees ran in the annual Airtel Delhi Half Marathon last week for the second time. 12 of our Krytonites ran the 6 km Great Delhi Run, with a lone dedicated (crazy) team member opting for the arduous 21 km race.
The run started from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and covered the most scenic part of Delhi, including India Gate, the President’s house and the Parliament building, just to name a few.
This run is one of Delhi’s most awaited events, with celebrities, corporations, media members and residents alike coming together to run for fantastic causes. May it be health or supporting a charity close to heart, everyone came together to push their physical (and emotional) limits to run for a cause.
The charities supported included:
- Child Relief and You (CRY);
- Help Age India;
- Smile Foundation; and
- Bharti Foundation, among many others.
The Kryton team, equipped with stunning long-sleeved Kryton jersey’s, completed the 6 km race in 55 minutes (a great time) and the our lone Krytonite finished the 21 km race in 2:57 minutes (fantastic!). At the finish line, you could really feel the camaraderie between the team, accompanied by an immense feeling of satisfaction and pride in accomplishing something together.
The race wound through the city, ending at the Stadium where the finishers of the half-marathon were honoured with medals for their accomplishment.
Certainly in races like these everyone who participated wins! Congrats to all!
